Tech and Textiles
Every other Thursday. 3PM. Ages 11+
Tech and Textiles is a new KFL program for teens. It is intended to give young people the space to explore emerging technologies and more traditional crafts. This program will meet every other Thursday in the Walker Room at 3:00PM. Ages 11+
 Thursday, May 3rd: Tech+Textiles: Squishy Circuits, Redux 
Squishy Circuits use conductive and insulating play dough to teach the basics of electrical circuits in a fun, hands-on way. There’s no need for breadboards or soldering – just add batteries! Come join the fun!

Thursday, May 17th: Tech + Textiles: Cross-Stitch Clinic
Cross-stitch is a form of sewing and a popular form of embroidery in which x-shaped stitched in a tiled pattern are used to form a picture. It is also one of Miss Melissa’s favorite ways to keep her hands busy while watching TV or her mind occupied on a rainy afternoon. Come learn!
 
Friday Fun
Friday Fun has been reinvented for 2018. Join Miss Melissa in the Walker Room to test scientific limits, create crafts worth sharing with friends and bring your favorite games to life.

Friday, May 4th: Friday Fun: Board Games Galore
Did you know you the library has board games available for check-out? Come play a game or two with friends before you take one home to continue the fun.

Friday, May 11th: Friday Fun: Card Making Station
Spring is the perfect time to send  a card full of sunshine and flowers. Raid the Library’s craft supplies to make something to make someone special smile.
 
Friday, May 18th, Friday Fun: Paper Flowers
April showers bring May flowers. Put a little be of papercraft spring into your step. All supplies will be provided.  
 
Friday, May 25th: Friday Fun: DIY Hair Accessories
Warmer weather means no more winter hats. Join Miss Melissa to make your own headbands and barettes to keep your hair in place in the sunshine.
