The Sleuth Group: Now There Is Help Finding Your Ancestors
Using the same skills as the great literary detectives Jane Marple, Maisie Dobbs, Tuppence Beresford and Harriet Vane, the Sleuth Group ladies (Savvy Ladies Endeavouring To Uncover the Treasures of Family History) share the love of genealogy and the "thrill of the chase" and can help you get started or continue through your roadblocks.
Simply complete the online form below or pick one up at the Library and deliver/mail to the Kennebunk Free Library.
The Sleuth Group will review your request by conducting a brief free analysis of ONE ancestor (due to privacy concerns, no research is conducted on living family members). You will then receive an informal research plan along with a suggested donation based on the number of hours the Sleuth Group estimates are necessary to work on your specific request. They may also be able to provide you with a list of items for research on your own.
Please be aware that the Sleuth Group cannot guarantee complete success. Genealogy can be a wondrous adventure; however searching can also produce some infamous "brick walls”.
All donations for research benefit the Kennebunk Free Library.
