Food Fear Factor
For grades 6-12
February 23rd, 2012
3:00 p.m.
Teens challenge themselves to eat oddball food combinations to be eligible for a grand prize.  For example, orange slices dipped in Tobasco sauce!)  Contestants must eat their full portion and chew and swallow each portion thorougly.  Contestants can choose at anytime not to participate further.  Pre-registration is required by calling 985-2173 x5 or emailing ys@kennebunk.lib.me.us
 
 

Hunger Games Party
Grades 6-12
Thurs., March 22nd, 2012
3:30 p.m.
In celebration of the much anticipated Hunger Games movie, based on the New York Times bestselling novel by Suzanne Collins, the Kennebunk Free Library will offer a Hunger Games pre-release party on March 22nd at 3:30 p.m. The party will include trivia and an activity. Participants are invited to dress in costume if they wish. Pre-registration is required by calling 985-2173 x5 or emailing ys@kennebunk.lib.me.us

Teen Movie Night
Teen Movie Night happens on the first Tuesday of every month from 5:30-7:30 p.m. All movies are rated PG or PG-13. Free pizza is served.

Anime Club
Grades 6-12



Anime Club includes practice drawing in the anime style, Asian inspired crafts, and manga and anime film discussion. Anime Club meets every other Thursday at 3:30 PM. Pre-registration is required by calling 985-2173 x 5 or emailing ys@kennebunk.lib.me.us

Teen Advisory Board


Members of the Teen Advisory Board help to make the library a special place for teens and tweens. Members recommend books and movies for the teen collection, help plan fun and exciting teen programs, and discuss current trends in technology and how that effects teens. Teen Advisory Board meets on the first Tuesday of each month at 3:30 PM and is currently accepting new members. Students in high school receive community service credit for participation on the Teen Advisory Board.

Gaming at the Library
Grades 6-12



Gaming at the Library is a weekly gaming group that includes electronic games and fantasy board games. Gaming offers Wii Sports, Super Smash Brothers Brawl, and Rock Band 2. Gaming at the Library meets every Friday at 3:00 PM and is for students in grades 6-12.
